Hi there! I haven't write anything lately, I had an amazing Fall, I participated in a drawing challenge called Inktober and was awesome! I will talk about that on another post. Now I want to share with you some news, for those whom have been following my art know that a friend and I entered in a Children's book contest, were I was drawing almost everyday during almost a month, well unfortunately we didn't win and was a bitter-sweet feeling, was fun doing that book. I learned so much during those 24 days. The theme we picked was a mexican tribe called "The Seris" from the Sonora beach. They wear vibrant colourful clothes in their celebrations and they decorate the beach, with ribbons of different colours, they paint their faces. Here I am sharing with you a link of an HD video where you can see the tribe starting around minute 1:00 Click here: VIDEO. So my illustrations were a reflection of that colourful culture. And well, I promised I would show you the illustration, so here is one of their new year's celebration, I still can not show you all, but hope soon I can make that available for you. I just want to thank my friend Jose Luis, family and friends that were cheering me up and crossing fingers and everything crossable haha! (I don't know if that is an actual word). Well take care and I will be talking about Inktober on my next post, but you can see a little bit of that on my instagram @nenalanddesigns or my facebook page Nenaland.
And here is one of my illustrations from that children's book contest :)
